Budge Terms of Service
Effective date: August 14, 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and Inyeon LLC, a New York limited liability company ("Inyeon," "we," "us"), covering your use of the Budge app and service (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms are separate from the Inyeon business platform's Terms of Service, which govern a different, business-only service.
1. What Budge is
Budge helps you dump a mess — as text or voice — break it into a tree of steps, and keep one current step in front of you on the phone, lock screen, widget, and notification until that step is done.
Budge is not a medical device, not medical advice, and not a crisis service. It is not treatment, diagnosis, therapy, or a substitute for professional care. Generated steps are productivity aids, not clinical instructions. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or, in the US, 988, or see IASP resources. The App will not turn a crisis dump into a lock-screen to-do list.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use the App, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. The App is not directed at children. We may ask you to confirm your age before any dump is sent to a model.
3. Your account
You sign in with an email address or phone number through Inyeon's hosted sign-in page. Your credential is held by Inyeon, not Budge. Budge never sees or stores a password. Keep that credential to yourself, and tell us at team@inyeon.dev if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. AI-generated steps
Step trees are produced by a language model reached through OpenRouter and its downstream vendors. They can be wrong — incomplete, poorly ordered, or a bad fit for your situation. You can edit, delete, merge, reorder, make a leaf smaller, or discard a dump entirely. We do not warrant that any generated content is accurate, complete, safe, or appropriate for you.
No dump is sent to a model until you have confirmed age 17+, accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and signed in.
You are responsible for what you do with generated steps, including anything you act on or share.
5. Crisis and sensitive dumps
Dumps may contain self-harm, suicidality, or other crisis content. When the App flags a dump as crisis-related:
- It produces no step tree and no lock-screen, widget, or notification text for that dump.
- It shows that Budge is not a crisis service and points you to emergency and crisis resources.
This is a safety refusal, not clinical detection or treatment. Do not rely on the App to keep you or anyone else safe in an emergency.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Use the App to harass, defraud, or harm anyone.
- Attempt to force the App to generate instructions for self-harm, violence, or other illegal activity.
- Probe, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass rate limits, authentication, age gates, or access controls.
- Resell or redistribute the App, or use it to build a competing service.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things.
7. Your content
The text you dump and the steps you edit remain yours. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and process them — including sending dump text to our AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy — solely to operate the App for you. This license ends when the content is deleted. You confirm you have the right to submit what you submit.
Unstructured dumps may include health, medication, or legal information. That is user content you chose to enter, not a structured health record we maintain as a medical product.
8. Surfaces outside the App
Unless you hide lock-screen details, the current step may appear on your lock screen, widget, and notification (and, where available, a Live Activity). A crisis-flagged dump is never shown on those surfaces. You control system permissions for notifications and related features.
9. Free and paid plans
The App may be free to use, with optional paid features sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. That store handles the transaction, the renewal, and the refund, under its own terms, and you manage or cancel any subscription in your store account. We receive the store's verification to unlock a plan; we never receive your payment card details. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period unless the store's policy says otherwise. Prices may change on notice, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Nothing in the App is a promise that a paid feature will exist forever. If we discontinue a paid feature, we will refund the unused portion of a prepaid period.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App. We aim to give notice of anything material. The App is not guaranteed to be available at all times, and features that depend on third parties — sign-in, speech recognition, notifications, AI generation — can fail independently of us. Offline capture and Do mode may still work when the network does not.
11. Ending it
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy, Section 9). We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, or if we are required to. Sections 1, 4, 5, 7, and 12 through 16 survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any generated content is accurate, complete, or appropriate for you.
Again: the App is not a medical device, not medical advice, and not a crisis service. Nothing in the App creates a doctor–patient, therapist–client, or similar professional relationship.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inyeon is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data.
Our total liability arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold Inyeon harmless from claims and costs arising out of your content, your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your reliance on generated steps.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Talk to us first. Before filing anything, email team@inyeon.dev with a description of the problem and what you want. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
If that fails, the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York have exclusive jurisdiction, and both of us consent to venue there. You may still bring an individual claim in a small claims court that has jurisdiction over you. Nothing here waives any right you have under the mandatory consumer protection law of the place you live.
16. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the App. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above, and for material changes we will notify you in the App before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after that means you accept the new Terms.
